1 killed, 19 injured in Nimroz collision

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): One person was killed and 19 others were injured in a collision between two passenger vehicles on the Zaranj–Delaram highway in southwestern Nimroz province on Tuesday.

Sardar Mohammad Rahimi, head of traffic incidents at the Nimroz Traffic Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the accident occurred Tuesday morning near Zanjir-e-Sharqi.

According to him, the driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene, while 19 others—including the driver of the second vehicle—sustained injuries.

Rahimi added that all the injured were transferred to the Nimroz Provincial Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. He said the condition of some of the injured has been reported as critical.
