KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan national cricket team captain Rashid Khan has become the first player in T20 history to reach 700 wickets, marking a remarkable milestone in his career.
He achieved this feat in his 512th T20 innings, boasting an impressive economy rate of 6.59 and an outstanding bowling average of 18.50. His best bowling in an innings (BBI) stands at 6/17, according to the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB).
Since making his debut in 2015, Rashid has been Afghanistan’s leading spinner and a white-ball specialist. Over 518 T20 matches, he has taken 700 wickets at an average below 20, including 18 four-wicket hauls and four five-wicket hauls.
