KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said sustainable peace and development in the country require equal access to work and education, and meaningful participation for all communities, including marginalized groups.
Marking the International Day of Social Justice on Friday, UNAMA highlighted on its Facebook page that every Afghan has the right to work with dignity and earn an income without discrimination.
Households should also be supported through humanitarian aid and alternative economic opportunities.
The mission emphasized that no country can achieve social justice if half its population lacks secondary education, and stressed that lasting peace depends on the inclusion of all communities in decision-making.
