<p style="text-align: justify;">KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Karate Federation (AKF) announced that three national athletes in the Kyokushin-kan style have departed for Russia to compete in an international tournament.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The federation said on its Facebook page that the athletes left today (Thursday) to take part in the “Cup of Nations” event.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">AKF added that the athletes will compete in both the Kumite and Kata categories against international opponents.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The global tournament, featuring Afghanistan among its participants, is set to begin tomorrow (Friday) in Moscow and will run until 2 March.</p>
