4 killed, 5 wounded in Jawzjan collision

SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): At least four people, including a woman, were killed and five others wounded in a traffic accident in northern Jawzjan province on Monday, an official said.

Police spokesman Qari Abdul Sattar Halimi told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred when two vehicles collided on the Shiberghan–Sar-i-Pul highway in Hadbakhshi area this morning.

He said four people, including a woman and the drivers of both vehicles, lost their lives and five others, including two children, were injured in the collision.

The spokesman linked the accident to reckless driving and high speed.
