KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) says that a total of 94 wagons of commercial goods recently arrived from Iran at Rozanak station, and the transfer of goods through the Khaf–Herat railway line continues normally.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the chief spokesperson for the IEA, wrote on his X page that the Khaf–Herat railway commission and its relevant administrations are performing their duties effectively.
He said that a freight train carrying commercial goods arrived from Iran at Rozanak station in Herat province last night. Of the cargo, 37 wagons contained sheet iron and nine wagons carried flour.
According to Mujahid, a total of 94 wagons of commercial goods entered Rozanak station on Thursday. Another freight train carrying food items, construction materials and fuel also arrived at the station during the night.
Mujahid assured citizens that the transfer of commercial goods through the Khaf–Herat railway line is continuing normally and that no delays have occurred.
He added that, according to Iranian railway officials, hundreds of additional wagons are currently on Iranian territory heading toward Afghanistan and will enter the country as usual.
Mujahid also urged traders not to increase the prices of commercial goods without a valid reason.
