KABUL (Pajhwok): The white-ball cricket series between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka will be played in the final quarter of 2026, Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced on Wednesday.
In a statement, ACB said the series comprises three T20s and as many One-Day Internationals (ODIs), originally scheduled from March 13 to 25 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The board linked logistical challenges and flight restrictions in the region to the postponement. The decision was made in consultation with and with the consent of Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
The UAE remains the planned host for the rescheduled series, with new dates to be announced after coordination between the boards and other relevant stakeholders.
ACB reaffirmed its commitment to holding the series at the earliest suitable opportunity and continuing strong cooperation with Sri Lanka Cricket.
