KABUL (Pajhwok): Construction work has started on six water supply networks at a cost of 61 million afghanis in southeastern Paktika province, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MoRRD) announced on Wednesday.
In a statement, the ministry said the projects were being implemented in Janikhel and Dila districts of the province.
It said the projects will include six digging of six wells with a depth of 120 metres, six water storage tanks with capacities of 20 and 40 cubic metres and approximately 60,000 metres of pipelines.
The statement noted that the construction work will provide employment opportunities for hundreds of workers and, upon completion, will give 2,330 households in the districts access to clean drinking water.
