IUMS condemns Pakistan military regime’s airstrike on Kabul hospital

KABUL (Pajhwok): The International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) has condemned the Pakistani military regime’s airstrike on a rehabilitation hospital in Kabul and called on Pakistan to refrain from such actions.

On Monday night, the Pakistani military targeted a drug treatment center in Kabul’s 9th security district, martyring 400 people and injuring 250 others.

In a statement expressing deep concern, the IUMS said that carrying out such attacks during the final days of the holy month of Ramadan further violates the sanctity of human life.

The statement emphasised that these acts are strictly forbidden in Islam and urged the Pakistani military regime’s leadership to refrain from similar actions, while establishing an impartial and transparent commission to investigate the incident.

The union also called on both countries to immediately halt the clashes and seek a peaceful resolution through dialogue and mediation, particularly with the involvement of countries such as Qatar and Turkey.

The IUMS stated that it is ready to play an active role in reducing tensions and facilitating peace negotiations.
