JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least four people were killed and one injured in a traffic accident in the Batikot district of eastern Nangarhar province on Saturday, police said.
In a statement, the provincial police headquarters said the incident took place in the Barikab Shinwari Qala area of the district.
“A Swift-type vehicle travelling at high speed went out of the driver’s control and collided with a roadside tree, killing four people on the spot and seriously injuring one,” the statement said.
Security forces rushed to the scene and evacuated the injured person to hospital for medical treatment.
