KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 10 people have been killed and six others injured after the roofs of several houses collapsed in the capital and three districts of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Tuesday.
Quraishi Badloon, spokesman for the Culture and Information Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that five people were killed and two others injured on Tuesday morning when a house roof collapsed in the Angoor Bagh area of Jalalabad city.
He added that in Shirzad, Khogyani and Haska Mina districts, five more people were killed and four others injured in similar roof-collapse incidents.
Reports indicate that over the past few days, heavy rains and floods across several provinces have claimed 110 lives and left another 160 people injured.
