KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan mixed martial arts fighter Wahedullah Nezhand is set to face an Argentine opponent on May 9.
The bout will take place during the 30th edition of the FNC mixed martial arts event in the 77kg division at the Krešimir Ćosić Hall in Zadar, Croatia.
Nezhand’s opponent is Laureano Staropoli, who has recorded 13 wins and seven losses in his professional career.
Nezhand, who previously competed under the Oktagon promotion, signed with the FNC organisation in late January 2026.
The Afghan fighter has secured 10 victories and suffered two defeats in his 12 professional fights.
He also delivered strong performances in the Oktagon organisation and was named fighter of the year in his weight category.
