KABUL (Pajhwok): Groups have been finalised for the 2027 AFC Under-20 Asian Cup qualifiers, with Afghanistan placed in Group D alongside Jordan, Bahrain and Tajikistan, the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) announced on Friday.
In a statement, AFF said the draw ceremony for the qualifiers was held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, on Thursday.
It said Afghanistan had been drawn in Group D alongside Jordan, Bahrain and Tajikistan.
It added Group D matches are scheduled to be held in Bahrain from August 25 to September 5, 2026.
Group A includes South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, the Philippines and Lebanon, while Group B consists of Uzbekistan, Syria, India and Bangladesh. Group C features Iran, Vietnam, North Korea and Palestine.
Group D includes Jordan, Tajikistan, Bahrain and Afghanistan, while Group E consists of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and Hong Kong. Group F includes Iraq, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Turkmenistan, Group G comprises Japan, Yemen, Cambodia and Kuwait and Group H features Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Laos.
