KABUL (Pajhwok): Two more Afghan national bodybuilding and fitness athletes have claimed bronze medals at the 16th South Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships.
The Afghanistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation announced on Friday that Jawad Mirzai won a bronze medal in the 85 kg category, while Hekmatullah Alomi earned bronze in the 80 kg category.
The championships are being held in Thimphu, Bhutan, with a 15-member Afghan team competing against athletes from across South Asia.
According to the General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education and Sports, Afghan athletes also secured two gold medals, three silver medals, and one bronze medal on the previous day of the competition.
The 16th South Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships, featuring competitors from eight countries, began on June 30 and will conclude on July 4.
