KABUL (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested a man allegedly involved in thefts, drug trafficking and other criminal activities, recovering 30 stolen mobile phones, 12 pistols, 12 hand grenades, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and a quantity of narcotics from him in southeastern Khost province.
Khost police spokesman Tahir Ehrar said the suspect was detained by the Counter-Crime Unit of Nader Shah Kot district in connection with thefts, drug sales and other criminal offences.
He said the seized items included 30 stolen smartphones and basic mobile phones, 12 pistols, hundreds of bullets, several magazines, 12 hand grenades and narcotics.
Ehrar, without providing further details, described the suspect as a “repeat offender” who had previously been arrested in connection with criminal activities.
He added that the suspect had confessed to “several crimes” during initial investigations, and his case would be referred to judicial authorities after completion of further inquiries.
