KABUL (Pajhwok): The trophy for the second edition of the Afghanistan Premier League (APL) is set to be unveiled today (Tuesday) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with the names of some companies that have acquired teams also expected to be announced.
Sayed Naseem Sadat, spokesman for the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), told Pajhwok that a ceremony would be held in the UAE today, during which the trophy for the second edition of the Afghanistan Premier League would be unveiled.
He added that the names of some companies that have acquired teams would also be announced at the ceremony, although not all of them would be revealed.
According to the ACB, the second edition of the APL is scheduled to be held in the final quarter of 2026.
Five teams will participate in the APL. The first edition of the APL was held in 2018.
