ZARANJ (PAN): Three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed and two others wounded when the vehicle they were travelling in struck a roadside bomb in southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Monday.
The bombing occurred in the Dilaram district of the province late on Sunday evening, the town’s administrative head, Khudaidad, told Pajhwok Afghan News. The wounded soldiers were taken to hospital and are reported in stable condition.
The explosion destroyed the military vehicle, said a shopkeeper in the area, Mohammad Khan.
A Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, asserted responsibility for the attack, saying that five ANA soldiers had been killed.
