JALALABAD (PAN): Seventy-five kilograms of drugs were seized by border police during an operation in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Sunday.
The heroin was recovered from a car while the traffickers escaped, the border police spokesman, Idris Momand, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Police fired on the traffickers in Ahmadkhel Wazir area of Khogyani district, but they managed to flee. The drugs were hidden beneath the car’s seats, which were stained with blood, he said.
