KABUL) on Friday strongly denounced the death of several Afghans citizens in a roadside bombing in southern Helmand province.
The roadside bomb was detonated by remote control in Musulmanai area of Musa Qala district on Thursday, killing seven civilians, including five children and a woman.
Last week, the Taliban announced the start of theirn Al-Farouq spring offensive, noting that their top priority would be “safeguarding the lives and wealth of civilians”.
But their actions continued to say otherwise, the NATO-led force said in a statement, calling their latest use of the improvised explosive device an act of cowardice.
The 50-nation force blamed the insurgents for 449 civilian causalities so far during the current year. “The Afghan people must continue to reject this barbarism; the killing of Afghanistan.”
