JALALABAD (PAN convoy in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Saturday, an official said. Foreign forces suffered no casualties in the attack.
The incident took place on the Torkham-Jalalabad highway at around 10 am when the bomber detonated his explosives-laden car near the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) convoy, the governor’s spokesman said.
Ahmad Zia Abdulzai told Pajhwok Afghan News they had yet to receive any information about casualties.
Only the bomber was killed in the botched attack, said the provincial police spokesman, Hazrat Husain Mashriqiwal.
A Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, claimed they had blown up a military vehicle of ISAF, killing six soldiers.
But the NATO-led force rejected the claims as baseless, saying that none of the international soldiers was killed in the assault.
