LASHKARGAH (PAN): A man was killed and 10 others were wounded in a bomb attack in the Sangin district of southern Helmand province, an official said on Tuesday.
The blast occurred on Monday evening in the main district bazaar, where an explosives-laden motorcycle was detonated with a remote-controlled device, the district chief said.
Mohammad Sharif Sharif told Pajhwok Afghan News a public order police was killed, while three other policemen, an Afghan National Army soldier and five civilians were wounded in the blast.
Without claiming responsibility for the incident, Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi said Afghan and foreign troops had suffered casualties in two blasts in the district.
