Khalid sent to US for medical treatment

KABUL) chief, Asadullah Khalid, has been sent to the United States for medical treatment, an official said on Sunday.

The spymaster was flown to the US on Thursday, deputy spokesman for the intelligence agency, Shafiqullah Tahiri, confirmed Pajhwok Afghan News. Khalid is said to be in stable condition.

Khalid was wounded in a suicide attack on Dec.6, when a bomber — posing as a Taliban peace emissary — blew himself up inside an NDS guesthouse in the Taimani neighbourhood of Kabul.
