PUL-I-KHUMRI (PAN): The death toll from a traffic accident in northern Baghlan province has risen to three after a 12-year-old boy succumbed to his wounds at a hospital here, officials said on Saturday.
The boy was among 27 people critically injured when a passenger bus crashed into a coach and a a car on the Kunduz-Baghlan highway on Friday near the Shahr-i-Kohna area of Baghlan-i-Markazi district.
Syed Alim Shah, provincial traffic police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News Two men were killed instantly and 27 others, including seven women and six children, injured.
A doctor at the Baghlan Civil Hospital, Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai, said a 12-year-old child died of his wounds last night. Another four injured are in critical condition and two of them were later shifted to Kabul and a third to neighbouring Kunduz province.
