KABUL): President Hamid Karzai on Wednesday flew to Ashgabat to celebrate the Nawroz festival the capital of Turkmenistan, his office said.
Accompanied by high-ranking officials, the president would meet his counterparts from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to discuss enhanced regional cooperation.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said Karzai’s two-day visit would help cement ties with the neighbouring countries.
