KABUL and cooperate with it in the anti-terrorism campaign.
A leader of the Cooperation Council of Political Parties and Coalitions of Afghanistan (CCPPCA) said: “We praise the courage of our troops in defending the territorial integrity of the country,”
Abbas Nawyan, a member of CCPPCA, told a news conference in Kabul that the coalition praised the ultimate sacrifice of border policeman Mohammad Qasim, who was martyred in Wednesday’s clash with Pakistani forces.
Stout resistance by Afghan security forces against the enemies of the country was the only hope for the restoration of peace and stability, he remarked.
The CCPPCA insisted on friendly relations between the two neighbouring countries, but strongly condemned the establishment of military installations by Pakistan on this of the Durand Line, he said.
Another member of the council, Abdul Ghaffar Mazhari, asked the US and other western countries to help resolve issues in border Afghan-Pakistan areas.
