Rebels kill 2 civilians in Kunar on spy charge

ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Taliban militants shot dead two civilians after briefly kidnapping them in eastern Kunar province, an official said on Tuesday.

The pair was abducted and killed in Sarkano district on Tuesday, provincial police chief, Brig Gen Abdul Habib Syed Khail told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Police found their bodies thrown near a hillside, he said, adding the bodies would be handed over to the victims’ families.

Farid, a resident of the locality, said the individuals were killed on the charge of spying for the government and foreign forces.
