ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Local officials on Saturday accused Pakistani forces of firing 73 more rockets into the eastern province of Kunar, inflicting financial losses residents.
Kunar police chief, Brig Gen Abdul Habib Syedkhel, told Pajhwok Afghan News the rockets were fired into Shigal and Dangam districts of the province during the past 24 hours.
Sixty-three of the rockets hit Dangam district while 10 others landed in Shigal, he said, adding a number of domestic animals were killed and some forest portions torched.
Provincial officials said hundreds of families had been displaced due to the rocket shelling, which has damaged relation between the neighbours.
