PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Fifteen militants were killed in an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) drone strike in central Logar province on Saturday, local officials said.
The afternoon raid was conducted in the Baboos area on the outskirts of Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital, the Logar police chief told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Hakim Ishaqzai said the pilotless aircraft struck a house where the Taliban Humayun was among the 15 killed, he added.
Civilians suffered no casualties in the attack, according to the police boss. But Haji Hakim, a local elder, said 20 insurgents had been killed in the strike.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
