HERAT CITY/GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): At least four civilians, including a tribal elder, have been killed and three others wounded in violence in different parts of the country, officials said on Monday.
Three people were killed in an explosion on Sunday night in the Gilan district of southern Ghazni province, Shafiq Nang, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Separately, unidentified gunmen shot dead a tribal elder and left his son injured in the Shindand district of western Herat province, said Col. Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, the police spokesman.
He added Haji Bari Khan was coming out of a mosque after offering prayers when unidentified motorcyclists attacked him.
Separately, two persons suffered injuries in a family feud in Herat City, Ahmadi said, adding that police were investigating the incident.
