KABUL sector development and underlined that 20 percent of the total financial aid should be spent on the country’s vital sector.
In a press release, the WBRAO said the international community should keep providing timely financial and technical assistance to Afghan government. Education and nurturing future generation was the basis for a sustainable society where law was respected, democracy practiced and people felt ownership, it added.
“Afghanistan needs to dedicate a lion’s share of resources and intellect to education and nurturing future generations. By education, we mean both quality and quantity. This is the only guarantee for a peaceful end to the conflict, sustainable peace and a better society,” it added.
Afghanistan, it said, had initiated a new tier of its history with the help of international community, which was in line with new social, political and cultural makeup of the world.
It said that global efforts in recovering Afghanistan could prove effective and efficient if it bestowed Afghanistan with ownerships of all programs, which would help help Afghanistan in its efforts of reconstruction, development, state building and legitimacy of the government.
The organisation also demanded of the Afghan government to assign a massive share of budget to the education sector and design effective and efficient plans for its expenditure.
