The Afghanistan cricket team is in Australia to make its debut in the ICC World Cup, commencing from Feb. 14.
Afghanistan Cricket Board spokesman Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News the 50-over game with Western District Club was played in Adelaide, the capital of South Australia.
He said that Afghanistan bated first and set a target of 347 runs on the loss of five wickets in the 50-overs game. Afghan batsman demonstrated well and scored 167 runs. He said that Nawroz Mangal, Mohammad Nabi, Usman Ghani, Gulbadin Naib and Najib Zadran scored 92, 23, 14 and eight scores respectively.
Afghanistan will face Bangladesh in their opening Word Cup match at Manuka Oval, Canberra on Feb 18.
They will play against Sri Lank on Feb 22, Scotland on Feb 26, Australia on March 4, New Zealand on March 8 and England on March 13.
