QALA-I-NAW (PAN): A district administrator was killed and six of his family members were wounded when their vehicle turned turtle in the northwestern province of Badghis, an official said on Saturday.
The overnight accident took place in the Shab Pashak pass near the provincial capital, Qala-i-Naw, where the vehicle carrying Mohammad Hassan, administrator of Moqur district, flipped over, the provincial police chief told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Col. Mohammad Jabbar said the district administrator was returning, along with his son, four cousins and a brother-in-law, from a festival in the Pistaliq area of the province.
Rash driving caused the accident, the police chief said, adding that three of the wounded people were rushed to Badghis Central Hospital, while the rest were taken to a zonal health facility in neighbouring Herat province.
