KABUL won the Under-12 Asian Football title last week after beating rival teams in South Korea’s capital Seoul.
Afghanistan Football Federation spokesman Syed Ali Kazmi told Pajhwok Afghan News the national team outclassed Bangladesh-A and South Korea-B teams and ended up in a draw against East Timor.
He said the Afghan under-12 team won the tournament after gaining more points than rival teams.
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan Football Federation said the draw for South Asia under-19 football tournament had been held.
According to Kazmi, six countries would participate in the under-19 event to be held in Nepal. Afghanistan has been drawn in Group B with India and the Maldives. The Group A includes Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
Pakistan and Sari Lanka are not participating in the tournament.
