FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): The Afghan Red Crescent Society, an official said on Tuesday.
Sibghatullah Ibrahimi, Red Crescent director in Ghor, , said considering problems being faced by displaced families of various districts to Ferozkoh, the provincial capital, his department asked Qatar Red Crescent Society for provide aid and the request positively answered by helping the families.
He said each family received different kinds of first food items such as a 50kg bag of flour, a 25kg sack of rice, a 5kg jar of ghee, 3kg of bag sugar, 5kg bag of beans, 2kg of milk and a kilo of salt and tea.
“After a survey and study we came to know that these families were in dire need of food and then we started distributing food items to them which can help them to a great extent in the month Ramadan.”
Saleem Shah, a resident of Dolina district, who migrated Ferozkoh because of insecurity in their area, said: “War and oppression of Taliban forced us to leave our village and come to Ferozkoh but here we don’t have work opportunities.”
Happy over the aid, he said the displaced families faced serious issues and asked the Red Crescent society to continue providing more such aid to the families.
