3 of a family killed in Khost, attacker arrested

KHOST (Pajhwok): A man killed three of his family members and injured a fourth in southeast Khost province on Tuesday, an official said.

The incident took place in Dadalo area between Ismailkhel and Mandozio districts this noon when a man killed his sister, brother, a cousin and injured his father.

It remained unknown what provoked the man to kill his family members, said Mubariz Mohammad Zadran, the governor’s spokesman.

He told Pajhwok Afghan News the accused had been arrested by police and was being investigated.

Akbarullah, a resident of the area, said the attacker was a drug addict and the incident was a result of family violence.

Police have no yet shared information regarding the issue.
