KABUL militants have been blown up by the explosives they were planting in southern Ghazni province, the Ministry of Defence said on Friday.
Only the insurgents planting the bomb in Andar district were killed in the explosion, a statement from the ministry said, adding civilians were not harmed.
In other news, six fighters were killed in an overnight security operation in the Shah Joi district of Zabul province. Another six rebels were wounded.
The ministry said four of the dead were foreign terrorists. However, the MoD did not give their nationalities. The Taliban have not yet commented on either incident.
