KABUL prisoners.
The Presidential Palace said the meeting, chaired by President Ashraf Ghani late on Tuesday, accorded approval to the Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) strategy for airspace control.
A statement from Ghani’s office, without giving details, said the plan was approved by the meeting for execution. It added the issue of HIA prisoners’ release was also discussed.
A landmark peace deal between the government and HIA was signed in September. Under the agreement, HIA prisoners should have been released in two months, but many are yet to be freed.
The presidential office said Attorney General, Mohammad Farid Hamidi presented a report on the “painful tragedy” in the Mizawlang village of the Sayyad district of Sar-i-Pul province.
