QALAT (Pajhwok): Four policemen have been killed and two others wounded in a Taliban attack in Arghandab district of southern Zabul province, an official said on Saturday.
Amir Jan Alokozai, district administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place on the outskirts of the district late on Friday night. Four policemen were killed and two others wounded.
Another source from the district, spoke on the condition of anonymity, said four police personnel were gunned down by their colleague at a check-post.
After killing the policemen, the killer joined the Taliban with weapons, he added.
Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, said one of their members infiltrated the security post and killed four policemen.
