Man guns down five family members in Parwan

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): A young man has shot dead five members of his family in central Parwan province, an official said on Wednesday.

Crime branch chief, Col. Mohammad Kazim, told Pajhwok Afghan News Zahid, 25, suffering from a mental condition, killed five relatives and wounded a sixth.

Zahid gunned down his brother, sister, nephew and brother-in-law and injured a 35-year-old sister in Tatmadara village of Charikar, the provincial capital, late on Tuesday night.

Kazim said the killer escaped the area but police had launched a hunt for him.

Abdul Qasam, a provincial hospital official, said the injured was evacuated to Kabul due to her critical condition.
