KABUL (Pajhwok): A 20-year-old Afghan citizen, who was wrongly deported earlier in the month, may find his way back to Germany.
Nasibullah was erroneously sent back to Afghanistan and Refugees (BAMF) acknowledged.
The asylum-seeker was deported at a time when his appeal was being processed. Germany's migration office said it was taking steps to bring him back.
According to Deutsche Welle, Nasibullah’s initial asylum petition was rejected in April last year. But a decision on his appeal before a court in Greifswald was yet to be made.
BAMF is in contact with his legal counsel, the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, where the 20-year-old lived, as well as the German embassy in Kabul.
