Addressing a gathering here, the envoy termed Russia as good friend of Afghanistan and pledged Moscow’s continued economic and technical assistance with Afghanistan in future.
Interior Minister Wais Ahmad Barmak said dispatching 40 police officers to Russia for training was part of an agreement between the two countries through which every year 60 policemen including 20 border policemen got trained in Russia.
Lt. Mohammad is one of the police officers who will head to Russia for advanced studies and military training.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News the 40 police officers were selected after an examination.
He said it was an opportunity for the Afghan police officers to improve their abilities and get maximum advantage of the Russia experience.
