PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The second trilateral meeting will have a positive impact on talks between Taliban and the United States, a diplomatic source has told a Pakistani newspaper.
Foreign Ministers from Afghanistan on Saturday.
President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah also held separate meeting with the visiting foreign ministers, The News International reported.
It quoted an unnamed diplomat as saying that the Chinese foreign minister promised Islamabad and Kabul it would provide arrangements to visitors on Chaman and Torkham crossings.
Representatives of the United States and the Taliban are expected to meet at an unknown venue in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a day or two.
“It is likely that the talks would continue for two days. Pakistan has been facilitating the negotiations at the request of the United States,” the newspaper said.
