KABUL have sought asylum in Australia, awaiting the outcome of their applications, the BBC reported on Wednesday.
The athletes, after the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney, had gone missing, failing to fly back home. Their trip was funded by Jaguar Land Rover.
Founded by Prince Harry, the Invictus Games feature teams of athletes made up of sick and injured service personnel from the competing countries.
The BBC quoted the Afghan athletes as saying they had claimed asylum in Australia as they felt Afghanistan was not a good place for the physically-challenged people.
