KABUL (Pajhwok): Police have seized another nearly 100 weapons and arrested four persons during two separate intelligence based operations in central capital Kabul, an official said on Tuesday.
Nasrat Rahimi, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), told Pajhwok Afghan News the operation this time was conducted by the Special Police Force Unit in the 13th police district of Kabul.
He said 55 different types of weapons including 15 Kalashnikovs, 39 pistols, 78 magazines, 80 machine gun magazines, 18 boxes of bullets and a computer from recovered from two individuals during the raid.
Separately, counternarcotics personnel recovered 39 pistols from a vehicle in the limits of the ninth police district of Kabul and arrested two persons in connection with the seizure.
It is worth mentioning that police recently seized dozens of weapons from people in the Qarabagh district of Kabul after 28 murder cases surfaced in the town during the past one year.
