Herat: Turkish agency renovates library, conference hall

KABUL (Pajhwok): Turkey has renovated a library and a conference hall in western Herat province, says the state-run aid agency.

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) said on Thursday it had renovated the Ghiyasia Teacher Training Institute's library and conference hall.

Ali Ergun Cinar, TIKA's coordinator, told a ceremony in Herat City the agency was happy contributing to developing the university's facilities and enriching its library.

Cinar promised stepped-up efforts by TIKA to boost relations between the two countries, which shared a common culture.
