JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Eight insurgents have been killed as warplanes struck a Taliban hideout in eastern Nangarhar province, the Afghan National Army claimed on Sunday.
The Taliban hideout was pounded in the Wazir Tangi area of Khogyani district on Saturday afternoon, killing eight armed rebels, an army statement said.
With the Taliban yet to comment on the air raid, the army said civilians were not harmed in the operation.
