Convicted Wasim Badghisi located in Turkey: MoI

KABUL) commissioner Wasima Badghisi, who is sentenced to five years in jail, has been located in Turkey, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Tuesday.

Nasrat Rahimi, MoI spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the location of Wasima Badghisi was determined based on efforts of the ministry.

He said the issue of Badghisi’s case had been shared with the government of Turkey.

Rahimi called it a legal case and said they would wait how Turkish authorities acted in accordance with their country’s law.

WasimaBadghisi was sentenced to five years in prison over misuse of authority and manipulating votes in Wolesi Jirga elections.
