TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): People of central Uruzgan province have been approaching Taliban militants for resolving their legal cases due to lack of judicial organs in the province, the governor said on Wednesday.
Governor Asadullah Sayed met with a delegation of Attorney General Office (AGO) led by Wahiduddin Arghawan, AGO deputy administrative head.
The governor said currently stability had been achieved in some districts where judicial organs could operate.
He said all districts of the province lacked judicial organs, thus leaving people with no option but to approach the Taliban.
According to him, around 80 percent of cases were referred to the Taliban in the province.
Sayed urged the visiting delegation to construct judicial organs in all districts of the province and local authorities would ensure their security and extend cooperation.
Wahiduddin Arghawan assured the governor of measures to provide judicial services in all districts in near future.
