KABUL (Pajhwok): Airstrikes killed more than a dozen Daesh or Islamic State militants in Kunar and Kapisa provinces, the Ministry of Defense said on Friday.
MoD deputy spokesman Fawad Aman told Pajhwok Afghan News that special forces carried out airstrikes in Kapisa’s Nijrab district last night, targeting a Daesh hideout.
He said six militants were killed and the hideout destroyed in the blitz.
Elsewhere, seven Daesh fighters were killed in an airstrike in Kapisa’s Sawaki district, Aman said, but provided no further details.
The group has so far not commented about these incidents.
