<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> militants and destroyed their five hideouts and seized thousands of kilograms of drugs during separate operations, the spy-network said on Monday.</p>
<p>A statement from the National Directorate of security (<a href="/en/nds" class="glossify-link">NDS</a>) media’s office said a nine-member Taliban group was detained during the NDS Special Forces Unit raid in central Maidan Wardak province.</p>
<p>The statement said a number of weapons and one arms depot of Taliban were also seized in Tizen valley of Sarobai and Dashtikohna areas of Khak-i-Jabar district of Kabul.</p>
<p>The forces conducted operation against <a href="/en/mullah" class="glossify-link">Mullah</a> Anar Gul, a key commander of Taliban insurgents in Marja district of southern Helmand province.</p>
<p>More than 100 landmines and more than 1,000 kilogram of explosives were discovered and destroyed in the operation.</p>
